A Family Created by God
Who are we? Peter says "Once you were not a people,
but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but
now you have received mercy." (I Peter 2:10) God has "destined us to be
his sons through Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 1:5) We are therefore a
Christian family, spiritual brothers and sisters related to each other
through our faith in Jesus Christ.
A Non-Denominational Family
We believe it is both possible and desirable to be a
non-denominational community with no denominational affiliation or
loyalty whatsoever. We also believe that when we follow the Bible only,
we must be Christians only, nothing more or less.
A Worshipping Family
Following the example set forth in the New Testament,
we encourage each other by worshipping regularly together. We offer
worship through song, the Lord's Supper, giving, prayer and through the
preaching of God's word. Our family worship is scheduled Sundays at
11:00 a.m. Stan Bryan serves the congregation as preacher with
instruction and exhortation from God's word.
A Learning Family
We are a people whose identity is shaped by God's
Word. To us no other book is as important as the Bible which we believe
contains the written Word and Will of God for his people. Therefore, we
strive to study and follow the scriptures as best we can. Group Bible
study is vital to us, and we offer Bible classes for all ages Sundays
at 10:00 a.m. as well as Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. These group studies
provide a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to learn God's
plan for life.
A Caring Family
We do not believe we exist just to look after our own
interests. Other people matter. We are concerned about those who need
support, counseling and guidance through tough times. We care about our
neighbors. We care deeply for families and work at strengthening and
serving families whether composed of one individual or many.
A Proclaiming Family
When people find an especially beautiful, fulfilling
and rewarding life in Christ, they ought to tell it -- from the
housetops! They have no right to force it on anyone, but every
responsibility to let others hear and make their own decisions about
Christ. We are eager to share God's message with anyone willing to
listen, whether here or in other parts of the world. Presently, we are
extensively involved in spreading the story of Jesus in the country of
Ukraine, one of the old republics of the former U.S.S.R.
A Family for You
Our desire to follow the Bible leads us to require no
more and no less than it does for someone to become a member of this
family. One who believes in Christ (Acts 16:31), repents of his sin
(Acts 2:38), confesses Christ (Romans 10:9-10), and is baptized into
Christ (Galatians 3:26, 27) is a recognized member of God's family.
We hope you will always feel welcome at any of our
family gatherings. If God is calling you to our non-denominational
fellowship for a week or a lifetime, we welcome you in the name of our
great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
