Here is a man with some big problems. He is blind, unable to speak, and possessed by demons. Jesus heals him and everyone watching is amazed.
This is a picture of the gospel. We all have our own problems to deal with - and everyone of them are caused by sin. The good news is that God sent his only son here to help us with everyone of our problems which all are ultimately caused by sin.
This morning whatever is your problem, whether it is a health problem, a mortality problem, a family problem, a financial problem, a guilt problem, an attitude problem, a bad habit problem or any problem in the world, Jesus can fix it - because everyone of our problems ultimately comes from sin and Jesus came to save us from sin.
As we remember Jesus during the Lord’s Supper, let us remember what this story so vividly teaches: Jesus can help us get through all our problems. That is pretty good news!
