Remembrance

What are the important things to most people? Food, clothes, money, life.

These things are important. But Jesus teaches us there is something even more important - God, his kingdom, and his righteousness. These are the most important things. These are the things we should be putting first in our lives.

This is what we remember each Sunday during the Lord's Supper. We remember God. There is a God and he has made us.

We remember his kingdom, that there is a life after this life and a world other than this one.

And we remember his righteousness that he gives to us through his Son Jesus. None of us is righteous. Only Jesus is righteous and it is only through him that we can be righteous before God.
